All Sinclair computer equipment has an expected useful life as part of the Replacement & Renewal cycle. At end-of-life, items are collected and properly disposed of through IT.

How to send equipment to IT

Small items (via interoffice mail)

If you have cables, mice, or other small equipment that fits in an interoffice envelope, send to:

Larger items (pick-up / move request)

For PCs, laptops, printers, copiers, or other large items, submit the Hardware Move service request in the Service Catalog.

 

Where IT sends equipment

  • Working PCs, laptops, and copiers are sent to GovDeals for auction.
  • Fax machines, printers, cell phones, tablets, and non-working PCs/laptops/copiers are sent to Charitable Recycling.

Important: Factory reset phones & tablets before sending

Please follow these steps to erase your device:

  1. Go to Settings > General
  2. Scroll to the bottom and select Reset
  3. Select Erase All Content and Settings

Note: If an item is too damaged to power on or be reset, include that information in your service request.
