eduroam

Now at Sinclair!

What is eduroam?

eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, world-wide roaming wireless access service. It allows students and staff from participating institutions to access the internet when visiting other participating institutions by logging in with their username and password from their home campus.

How does eduroam work?

The system uses a network of servers run by the participating institutions to securely route these requests back to your home institute.

User credentials are kept secure because eduroam does not share them with the site you are visiting. Instead they are forwarded to your home institution, where they can be verified and validated.

How do I use eduroam?

Search for available wireless networks on your device (cell phone, tablet, laptop, etc.). Click on the eduroam SSID. Type in the user name and password that you use for your home institution network.
